But I have had a great time meeting new friends, learning how to cook, exploring the city. Late night talks with roommates remind me that I’m not the only one figuring out. In college your life revolved around your education. In the future your life will revolve around your family. Right now your life revolves around … yourself? So far thats the only thing i’ve come up with, and this quote cements it:
I keep giving up on this blogging thing but maybe its time to try again.
Last weekend marked one year since graduation. The year flew by but no one prepares you for how strange your early twenties will be. They are in-between years, you feel like an adult but you’re not quite there yet. You’re not sure if you are acting too old or too young for your age. Everything gets more complicated after you graduate. Relationships, friendships, even going out is harder. Cabs? What is that. Maybe I was too sheltered at my school of 1800, but life after college is significantly more effort.
“Your twenties are your ‘selfish’ years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time, and all the aspects of you. Tinker, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.”
I don’t know who said it but I know that it is true. So here’s to happy memories of the past and excitement for the future, Summer 2013 lets see what you have in store.
